The cruise line AIDA Cruises is setting standards again for the perfect vacation for the whole family. On the two cruise ships AIDAperla and AIDAprima, the new veranda staterooms Deluxe with Lounge allow occupancy for five people for the first time.

Families with three children can look forward to an even more comfortable vacation together. But larger groups of people who would like to travel together can also choose this stateroom option.

This new offer applies for cruises starting from March 24, 2018, on board AIDAperla, and starting from May 5, 2018, on board AIDAprima. Per ship, 26 of these staterooms are available for up to five people. They are around 34 square meters in size and include a separate, 6-sqm lounge area and a 6-sqm adjoining veranda. The lounge doors can be fully opened and transform the private vacation domain into a sun paradise. A double bed, double sofa bed, and a Pullman bed accommodate up to five people. If a baby is included among the five guests, a crib can be provided as well.

Children under the age of 2 travel free of charge with AIDA. Children aged 2 to 15 travel free of charge in their parents’ stateroom in the X, S and A seasons and otherwise at the reduced prices. When families book the AIDA PREMIUM or AIDA VARIO rate, they can also benefit from reduced child airfare prices.

Guests who’d like to have more space or travel in larger groups have the option of booking staterooms with a connecting door. Eighty of these staterooms are available on AIDAprima and AIDAperla, respectively.

AIDAprima and AIDAperla have received several awards for being the best ships for families, most recently the Kreuzfahrt Guide Award 2018. Treasured memories are made at the family restaurant, ropes course, and pool facilities with slides for the entire family. Childcare options that cater to families’ needs are another advantage of an AIDA vacation. During school holiday times, multimedia workshops with the robot Nao, choreography and vocal coaching courses, and a soccer camp are offered.
