Off to Copenhagen with AIDA for the Eurovision Song Contest

Rostock, 22. January 2014

The grand finale of the 59th Eurovision Song Contest – abbreviated ESC – will be taking place on May 10, 2014 in Copenhagen. Cruise ship AIDAbella will bring fans of this cult music presentation right to the scene of the event.

Guests will depart Warnemünde for Copenhagen on a voyage lasting from May 9 to the 13th, 2014. Upon arrival, AIDAbella will drop anchor from May 10 through 11 directly within sight of the concert hall where the best participants from 36 countries will compete in the evening for the favor of the viewers. There will also be happenings in the downtown area. As part of the festival, Copenhagen will transform into an all-encompassing Eurovision Village with numerous events for the entire family. Fan celebrations, fan fests, and countless parties create the perfect ESC atmosphere.

As soon as they come on board, guests can get into the spirit of the Eurovision Song Contest. Workshops with professional vocal coaches, an exclusive betting game, and a karaoke evening are just a few of the offerings on the program. On the evening of the finale, there will also be a big live broadcast in the Theatrium on board AIDAbella as well as a rousing after show party.

The short voyage will see AIDAbella and her guests continuing on from Copenhagen to Göteborg, where the ship will moor from May 11 to the 12th. Göteborg can keep pace with any great metropolis when it comes to shopping, going out, and cultural events. As far as the people and atmosphere are concerned, this Swedish city has nonetheless retained a downright small-town charm. On May 13 the journey ends right back where it began – in Warnemünde.

Anyone who has already been able to get hold of a ticket for the finale and has not yet decided how she or he will make it to Copenhagen or anyone who just wants to enjoy the atmosphere of the ESC at an open air screening in the charming Danish city will definitely want to come on board for this voyage.

This exclusive voyage on AIDAbella to the Eurovision Song Contest can be booked starting at EUR 645 per person at a travel agency, on www.aida.de, or with the AIDA customer center at +49 (0) 381 / 202 707 07. Availability is limited.
