AIDA President and Mayor of Dubrovnik agree on collaboration

Rostock, 30. September 2019

Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises, met with the Mayor of Dubrovnik, Mato Frankovic, and Deputy Mayor Jelka Tepsic last week. At their meeting, Eichhorn pledged to support the city of Dubrovnik in its efforts to optimize cruise ship arrivals.

Dubrovnik is an important port for the ships in AIDA’s fleet. “Our common goal is to offer our guests a wonderful stay in Dubrovnik. We will therefore continue to work together with the city to find solutions for all current issues,” Felix Eichhorn declared.

AIDA appreciates Dubrovnik’s efforts to build a shoreside power supply system. Mayor Frankovic stated that he has begun the process of building a new substation as a prerequisite for supplying the cruise ships. A new passenger terminal is planned as well. Felix Eichhorn also signalized that AIDA supports new measures planned to regulate visits to the historical Old City. Next year, 28 AIDA ships are scheduled to arrive in Dubrovnik.
