Bookings now open for new AIDA World Cruise 2019:

Rostock, 29. March 2018

Tickets for AIDA’s third world cruise can now been booked. AIDAaura will be setting out from Hamburg on October 28, 2019, on a grand tour around the globe, returning on February 22, 2020. The 117-day world cruise will take travelers to 41 ports in 17 countries on four continents. Many destinations will be visited for the first time in AIDA’s history.

The highlight of the cruise will be New Year’s Eve in Sydney. In front of the imposing skyline of the Australian metropolis, AIDA guests will be welcoming 2020 with the most famous New Year’s Eve fireworks. On Christmas Eve, the ship will be in Tauranga: On the subtropical North Island of New Zealand, the globetrotters will be decorating palms rather than fir trees on December 24, 2019.

This great adventure will get underway on October 28, 2019, in Hamburg. From the Hanseatic city AIDAaura will set course for South America via La Coruña, Porto/Leixões, Madeira and Mindelo (Cape Verde). Dream destinations such as Salvador and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Tierra del Fuego’s “Glacier Alley” are just a few of the stops before AIDAaura sails from Easter Island (Chile) to French Polynesia. The South Seas paradise comprises 118 islands and atolls. AIDAaura will be visiting two of these gems on her world cruise – Tahiti and Bora Bora.

After that, AIDAaura will explore new territory: The Cook Islands are a tiny archipelago in the far reaches of the Pacific and an insider tip for those who love turquoise water and snow-white sandy beaches. Other places that AIDA will be visiting for the first time are Tauranga, Wellington and Picton in New Zealand. Stops at Sydney, Melbourne, Australia’s Kangaroo Island, Mauritius and La Réunion are guaranteed to get explorers’ pulses racing.

After a call at Maputo in Mozambique – another new port on the program – AIDAaura’s voyage will continue on to South Africa and Namibia. Table Mountain and the view from the Lion’s Head in Cape Town, the animal world of the savanna, the gigantic sand dunes of the Namib Desert – just a few of the many highlights that guests will enjoy in Southern Africa. After a stopover in Senegal, the world cruise guests will travel on to Tenerife and Lisbon, before finally returning to the port of Hamburg.

The world cruise crowns the AIDA Selection explorer program. It was developed for guests who wish to experience different countries and their people in a unique way. Lengthy excursions give them the chance to familiarize themselves with impressive landscapes, cultures and unique natural worlds from a completely new angle. On board they enjoy AIDAaura’s personal and relaxed atmosphere. The specially designed entertainment program picks up on the typical culture of the destinations being visited. Thrills and delight are provided by numerous guest artists. First-class lecturers recount stories that cannot be found in every travel guide. Whether whale observers, artists or rangers – our “local heroes” provide entirely personal insights into their world. In addition, on this fascinating voyage, guests enjoy exquisite culinary choices with specialty menus, which are coordinated with the individual destinations.
