AIDAstella: floating Wellness Oasis with a Scandinavian design

The “SPA beneath the Stars” opens its doors for the first time on the maiden voyage.
Rostock, 17. January 2013

Classic natural materials like wood and stone, as well as fresh and natural colors invite guests to spend a relaxing time on AIDAstella. The generously sized Body & Soul area is flooded with light and covers an area of 2,602 square meters, making it one of the largest floating feel-good temples in the world. In the Wellness Oasis, birch trees provide for a Nordic flair, together with the special highlight: the glass roof can be opened for sunbathing in fine weather. This ambience offers the perfect setting to be pampered and spoilt by the AIDA spa therapists with Nordic applications. Wellness fans will also be inspired by the “Swedish Sauna Night”.

Guests can train with a personal trainer or individually for free on the ultra-modern equipment in the sports area. One of the fitness highlights on AIDAstella – in addition to the most modern cardio and power machines – is “Kranking”. This new trendy sport comes from the USA and works virtually like a bicycle, but with hand cranks.

AIDA will surprise the guests joining AIDAstella’s maiden voyage with a special meditation hour under the direction of an Indian yoga master. In the evening hours, he will set out with the guests on a “dream journey beneath the stars”.

On selected days in port, the sauna will also open on AIDAstella’s maiden voyage from 7.30 to 10.30 p.m. for an exclusive “Spa beneath the Stars” for a limited number of guests. Special oil and infusion experiences, peelings for silky soft skin, fruit, aromatic teas and other pleasant and soothing surprises are included in the entry price as well as access to the Wellness Oasis. This new evening sauna program will be on offer on all of AIDA’s new-generation ships from March 2013.

With a length of 253.33 meters and a beam of 32.2 meters, AIDAstella offers a huge variety of wellness, sport and fascinating entertainment programs. The youngest member of the AIDA fleet has 1,097 passenger cabins, 30 of them with direct access to the spacious wellness area. A total of 7 restaurants and 12 bars invite guests to embark on a journey into the world of culinary delights.
