These 35 young people and their parents are having a particularly athletic Easter vacation: Instead of dyeing Easter eggs, everything revolves around the soccer ball on board AIDAsol. Saturday marked the kick off of the 2nd AIDA BVB soccer camp with the Evonik soccer academy.
The group arrived in style, taking a BVB team bus from Dortmund to Hamburg. Once aboard AIDAsol, their trip started with the soccer cities of London, Paris and Amsterdam. Highlights for these next generation soccer players include exclusive stadium tours with soccer legends such as Tony Woodcock and Alfred Nijhuis as well as training sessions in and at famous stadiums such as Wembley Stadium in London, Stade de France in Paris and the Ajax Amsterdam Arena.
Today the youngsters will be watching the DFB Cup semifinal between Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg with all the other interested soccer enthusiasts on the deck's big screen. On Wednesday, April 16, 2014, Belgian world-class goalkeeper Jean-Marie Pfaff will be welcoming them to training sessions on the Knokke coast of the North Sea near Zeebrügge.
The Kids & Teens Team and the BVB trainers are working together to make sure time spent on board AIDAsol is also action packed. AIDAsol captain Jens Janauschek will be conducting the awards ceremony after the final tournament in person.
When the 2nd AIDA BVB soccer camp wraps up, the BVB team bus will pick up the guests again in Hamburg and take them directly to the BVB home game – tickets are included for all camp participants!
