From April to October 2017, a series of extraordinary cruises with AIDAaura in the western Mediterranean will be departing from and returning to the port of Palma de Mallorca. These new seven-day cruises are part of the AIDA Selection program that guests will be able to experience for the first time in 2017, exclusively on board AIDAaura, AIDAcara and AIDAvita.
Guests have a choice of four new travel routes with AIDAaura, on which no fewer than three ports will be premiered: Portoferraio on the island of Elba, Sète near Montpellier in the south of France, and Palamos on the Spanish Costa Brava. Other highlights include fascinating islands such as Corsica, Minorca, Ibiza, Sardinia or Sicily.
AIDAaura will be staying overnight in Rome (Civitavecchia), Barcelona and Florence (La Spezia), giving guests ample time to make leisurely excursions to see the historical treasures of the respective cities or discover captivating landscapes – Tuscany, for instance, or the UNESCO World Heritage region of Cinque Terre.
Two other new options are a six-day AIDA Selection cruise in the western Mediterranean during the Easter break, and a 13-day transcruise “From Majorca to Crete 2” during the fall break in 2017.
On board AIDAaura, guests enjoy the highly attentive service of the AIDA Selection Hosts and the intimate, family feel of AIDA’s small ship class. All cruises feature an individually designed onboard entertainment program that is tailored to reflect the respective national cultures of the region. Equally, at the onboard restaurants, guests can look forward to an exquisitely prepared selection of regional specialties that match the given destinations. As an additional treat, guest lecturers will be sharing their profound knowledge of the cruise routes.
