Our sustainability reporting is based on the provisions and regulations of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). We have thus provided an explanation for each indicator in our reporting. This provides more detailed information on how we fulfill the criteria in question. It provides all interested parties with a comprehensive insight into our activities.
In the annual sustainability report, AIDA cares, we document how we fulfill our responsibility, the relevant goals that we have achieved and the challenges we face for the future. This report contains all information from the 2012 fiscal year that we consider important in this regard. All parts of the AIDA Cruises company have been given equal coverage.
The Carnival group as a whole defined and introduced comparable indicators right back in 2009. This makes it easier to compare the different reports and bring together the key indicators at corporate level. Data collection is managed by the specialist departments in collaboration with the Director for Environment and Community, Monika Griefahn, and covers the areas of Controlling, Energy and Environment, Guests and Personnel.
