Continuity

Sustainable from the beginning

Sustainability is part of the AIDA philosophy – and it always has been. In 2007, we were the first in the cruise industry to publish a sustainability report. Our environmental officers were the first on board a cruise ship. With our offers for cyclists, we were pioneers in sustainable shoreside excursions. Today all of this is taken as read. Innovations have become standards.

Be it cutting-edge technology or changes to our portfolio: If it has been tried and tested, we tend to take it on.
That means that innovations have given birth to new standards that we have fully integrated into our operational processes. Issues that we tackle successfully today in terms of sustainability will tomorrow be noted down as further milestones in the AIDA cares logbook of continuity.

Sustainability milestones - AIDA 2006 to 2012

Just like us, this list is in constant movement. We continually add new milestones to it (at least once a year).
