AIDA Maritime Simulation Center

Specialized nautical and technical training or further education

The Simulation Center is equipped with ultra-modern technology and teaching tools to provide sophisticated maritime training for our nautical and technical officers and students. The AIDA Simulation Center, CSMART Rostock, offers comprehensive simulation technology:

Full mission bridge simulator – a replicated bridge of AIDAblu
2-part task bridge simulators – NACOS XX-5
2-part task bridge simulators – NACOS Platinum
Part task engine room simulator - modeled after the SIEMENS control system on board

During the training on the full mission bridge, it is possible to simulate maneuvers on the 220 degree panoramic screens that consider factors such as swells, wind, current, different light conditions or precipitation 1:1. Training is offered on routes of AIDA Cruises around the world, including the ports of Hamburg, Bangkok, in New York but also in other well-traveled areas such as the Cadet Channel, the Strait of Dover or the Bosporus.

Device and system training as well as training for new officers and students can be carried out on the part task bridges. Operation of the machine systems as well as emergencies can be staged in the engine room simulator and practiced in team and individual sessions.
